Time’s Up at Golden Globe Awards

Surely by now you’ve heard, seen, and read all about the presence of #TimesUp, a movement that raises awareness for victims of sexual misconduct, at last nights 75th Golden Globe Awards. Guests wore the color the black as a sign of solidarity, and it was magnificent. Of course, I swooned over the fashion but the real showstopper was Oprah’s acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award. Not since hearing Sidney Poitier’s passionate speech when accepting the Honorary Oscar for his body of work at the 74th Annual Academy Awards have I felt this moved, emotional, and inspired. And I’m not the only one. Who knows what’s next, but here’s what’s trending on Twitter #oprahforpresident #oprahforpresident2020.
