A few favorite images from our family feast.
A custom-made turkey centerpiece, sitting between the candles, was priceless.
We even has passed hors d’oeuvres, crostini with chèvre and a dollop of homemade Black Mission Fig jam. Audrey set the table, with her crafty place cards, for all 14 guests. Funny though, none of the adults were given a chocolate surprise. Thankfully, complaints were kept to a minimum. We made it up to grown-ups with a few good wines, including my new favorite a 2007 Cote Rotie from Bernard Levet Les Journaries.
Our Thankful Tree held a few things that the children were most thankful for this year, family and friends. Aren’t they sweet? Of course, it wouldn’t be the same without a bit of tomfoolery in the house so “toilets” made it in the top three. Guess who wrote that?
