This was a perfect way to end the year, Mom’s Night Out at Joanne Weir‘s new venture, Copita. Most will get their house Margarita that uses Herradura Blanco (friend’s favorite), but I really had to try the Nouveau Carre. The Lillet Blanc and bitters, in the recipe, caught my eye. The cocktail includes El Tesoro Añejo, Agavero, Lillet Blanc, bitters, and a lemon twist. It’s a big flavor drink but goes down quite smoothly. And, it pairs well with favorites 24 hour carnitas, ceviche, and shrimp tacos. Still hungry for tequila, get Joanne’s book TEQUILA: A Guide to Types, Flights, Cocktails and Bites for cocktail and food recipes (think chorizo hand pies & Aperol Sunset). Now, I’m getting hungry.
